Legendary death metal vocalist Lars-Göran Petrov (Entombed, Entombed A.D., Firespawn, etc.) passed away on March 7, 2021 after a battle with bile duct cancer. Now Firespawn is planning a tribute EP to Petrov featuring a handful of guest vocalists.
"Today marks one year since we lost our friend, brother and lead singer LG Petrov. It is still a tremendous loss and it always will be. So we take this opportunity to state that there is no Firespawn without LG. We are planning to record the songs we did for the next release as an EP with guest vocalists in LG's honour.
"Looking back, we've had great times with [achievements[ we are proud over and we are also grateful for the pleasure and honour to have had LG as a friend and colleague. Thank you all for your support."
Firespawn put out three albums between 2015 and 2019, their final with Petrov being Abominate in 2019.
