Twisted Sister vocalist and solo artist Dee Snider has taken to Twitter to approve of Ukrainians using his classic track 'We're Not Gonna Take It" as their battlecry against the invading Russian army. Snider also makes it very clear how he feels about the powers that be in Russia, as a growing number of artists do as well.

"I absolutely approve of Ukrainians using 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as their battlecry. My grandfather was Ukrainian, before it was swallowed up by the USSR after WW2. This can't happen to these people again! #FUCKRUSSIA"

Snider then addressed why he's letting the Ukrainian people use the song without trouble while coming down on anti-maskers using the song. Comparing the two causes feels ridiculous given the vastly different meanings behind each and what's at stake for each group, but still – Snider pointed it out. This is also likely in direct reference to a group of Florida anti-maskers who stormed a South Florida Target store without their masks on, encouraging other patrons of the store to take theirs off as well, while they shouted the lyrics to Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It."

"People are asking me why I endorsed the use of 'We're Not Gonna Take It' for the Ukrainian people and did not for the anti-maskers. Well, one use is for a righteous battle against oppression; the other is a infantile feet stomping against an inconvenience."

As of this morning, fighting in the country still rages on as Ukrainian and Russian delegations begin talks.
