Metallica announced with a recent post on their official Instagram account that they would have two new shows in Buffalo, New York, and Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, with some special guests.
As you probably know, Metallica has been currently working on their new eleventh studio album after releasing their latest, ‘Hardwired…to Self-Destruct,’ in 2016. They started writing during the lockdown period, and it is known that they already have ten new songs by now. Besides the new album, Metallica will also be busy with their upcoming tour.
The band has several international tour dates set between late April and early July. As they announced before, they will be performing in South America in April and May 2022. Then they will be heading towards Europe in June 2022 to perform in some European countries, including Italy, Spain, and Denmark. Metallica will also be headlining BottleRock and Boston Calling Festivals through the end of May.
In their recent Instagram post, Metallica announced that they added two new shows to their summer calendar. They will be performing at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York, on August 11, 2022, and at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 14. Greta Van Fleet and Ice Nine Kills will join Metallica as the support acts. The tickets for the shows will be available to the general public on March 4 at 10 a.m.
Metallica’s Instagram post read:
“Buffalo & Pittsburgh: We’re coming for you this summer! We’ll be at Highmark Stadium on August 11 and at PNC Park on August 14. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 4 at 10 a.m. EST. There will also be travel packages available for the Pittsburgh show.”
