Grunge Pioneer MARK LANEGAN, Formerly Of SCREAMING TREES And QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, Dead At 57

Former Screaming Trees frontman and Queens Of The Stone Age member, Mark Lanegan, has passed away at the age of 57. Mark's passing was confirmed earlier today, Tuesday, February 22.

A statement from his publicist reads: "Our beloved friend Mark Lanegan passed away this morning at his home in Killarney, Ireland. A beloved singer, songwriter, author and musician he was 57 and is survived by his wife Shelley. No other information is available at this time. The family asks everyone to respect their privacy at this time."

Most recently, Lanegan worked with the Manic Street Preachers on their latest album, The Ultra Vivid Lament. R.I.P.
